Here are my tips for casting spells in Hogsmeade. Not really a tip, but you must have an interactive wand in order to cast spells.
Tip #1: Keep Your Wrist Still
According to a Wizarding World Emplyee, I was flicking my wrist too much. Or maybe I was flourishing it too much?. Remind you of someone?
Tip #2: Make Sure Your Wand is Pointing at the camera for the entire spell
As a result of flourishing my wand too much, my wand was no longer pointing at the camera by the end of the spell resulting in the spell not working.
Tip #3: If you have an older wand, you might need to get it repaired at Ollivander’s
The employee did ask at one point how long I had had my wand, so apparently the age of the wand does matter. I did read though that you can get your wand repaired at Ollivander’s, so you shouldn’t have to replace it.
Tip #4: The Sun can interfere in successful spell casting
The employee also told me that the spells were more challenging on a sunny day, that the sun can make it more challenging, although he didn’t explain why.
Hopefully, these tips will help to improve your spell casting in Hogsmeade.
