One of my favorite things to do at Universal Studios, whether in Hollywood or in Orlando is to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Size Difference
The first and most notable difference between the two parks is their sizes. The park in Orlando is easily twice the size of the park in Hollywood given that there are two parks in Orlando to Hollywood’s one park. Which park has the advantage because of that though, I’ll let you decide.
Hogwarts Express
Another notable difference between the two parks is the Hogwarts Express which travels between the two parks in Orlando, but is absent from its Hollywood counterpart.
Hogsmeade
One thing both located have in common is that they both have a Hogsmeade.
In Hollywood, there are two rides: The Flight of the Hippogriff and Harry Potter’s Forbidden Journey.
Hogsmeade in Orlando has an additional ride–Hagrid’s Motorbike ride.
Diagon Alley
Diagon Alley is only in Orlando and at Universal Studios (as opposed to Islands of Adventure). There is only one ride in Diagon Alley-Escape from Gringotts.
Wizarding World Shows
There are three shows in the parks: Ollivander’s, the Frog Choir, and the Triwizard Tournament.
Casting Spells
You can cast spells in both Hollywood and Orlando, and wands purchased in Orlando work in Hollywood.
